How To Prepare For A DOT Physical?
The DOT physical itself should take approximately 20 minutes or less, so be sure to plan accordingly. It is important for the driver to gather the necessary information and documents. The driver should bring:
A valid driver’s license
Appropriate Documents or items as follows:
Drivers with diabetes need most recent Hemoglobin A1C (HgA1C) lab results.
Eyeglasses, contact lenses, or hearing aids if needed for vision or hearing.
Drivers with sleep apnea need most recent sleep study and compliance with CPAP machine documentation.
List of current medications and dosage
List of any allergies
Employee Authorization form (if applicable)
